Tim Ambrose is a native of Key West. Like any rambunctious boy growing up on the water, he took advantage of every floating device available to fabricate makeshift boats -and the sails for them. At the age of 9, he was caught making a sail out of a misappropriated bedsheet. After a firm scolding, his grandfather sat him down at a sewing machine and taught him how to make a sail properly! His love for sailmaking expanded to canvas & upholstery and after much experience working for other people, he opened up shop for himself in 2000. His quality workmanship has earned him an excellent reputation with locals and out-of-towners alike.
Life is all about boats in his offtime, too! Tim lives aboard a 42' Mariner with Jilly the wonder Whippet and spends his weekends like any true boater: tinkering with projects.
